My AC stopped blowing cold a few weeks ago and the dealer told me the compressor was gone and quoted a replacement that nearly gave me a heart attack. So I got a second opinion and it turned out to be a leaking O ring and a blocked expansion valve, both far cheaper to fix. I went with 800 Sayara car repair in Sharjah after a colleague recommended them and they were straight with me from the start about what it actually was. Cold air again and I saved a fortune. Has anyone else had a dealer quote that turned out to be wildly off? I’m starting to think a second opinion should just be standard practice on anything expensive.
